You may be eligible for a Safety Net Card if you receive 60 or more prescription items within 12 months (1st January – 31 December) totalling $390 for Consession Card Holders and $1550.70 for General Patients . You can combine the number of prescriptions with members of your family, including your spouse and dependent children up to age 16 (or full time student under age 25).
A Safety Net Card entitles you to receive funded medicines without paying the standard co-payment, as long as there has been an appropriate interval between filling the same medicine.
